The process of reading HTF first, TTF second, LTF last — in that order — to assemble a complete, honest picture of the market.
Full Explanation
The top-down read is the complete analytical process the framework requires before any trade is considered. HTF first: name the state and direction. TTF second: identify the tradeable structure and define the mechanical wrong point. LTF last: confirm the entry timing is consistent with the TTF thesis. The order is not negotiable. Reading the LTF before the TTF produces bottom-up analysis that mistakes local noise for structure. The process stops at any level where a clean read is unavailable — if the TTF has no tradeable structure, the LTF is irrelevant. Every session begins here.
